Apple pie 

When I was living in Austria, my host mother prepared this pie. I loved it very much and got the recipe. The pie doesn’t ressemble to the French Charlotte, but it is such a delicious pie and will be perfect for a weekend :). You can serve it with vanilla ice.

  • 200g of flour
  • 60g of sugar
  • 1/2 packet of Backpulver
  • 1/2 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 100g of soft  butter

For the filling:

  • 10 apples
  • 10g of butter
  • lemon juice

For crumbs on the top :

  • 150g of flour
  • 60g of sugar
  • 100g of soft butter
  • 1/2 packet of vanilla sugar


  1. Mix all ingredients in one bowl and put it to the baking form.
  2. Peal the apples and cut them (1-2 sm).
  3. Heat a frying pan and put butter in it, then add the apples (mixed with  the lemon juice). Fry them on a medium heat for about 10mins.
  4. Put the apples on the dough.
  5. Mix all ingredients for crumbs, grate it and put it on top of the apples.
  6. Heat the oven to 160 degrees and bake it 35 mins.
  7. Enjoy the delicious apple pie!
